Tipitaka Translation series
Buddha Vachana Trust has undertaken the project of translating the entire Tipitaka into different Indian languages, beginning with Kannada to make known the teachings among local people. Tipitaka is the
sacred collection of books, consisting of 145 volumes including commentaries and
sub-commentaries. A team of translators is working for this project.
Apart from the Tipitaka translation, other Dhamma books written by Ven. Acharya Buddharakkhita, Ven. Dr. K.Sri. Dhammananda etc., have been also been translated into Kannada.
Books
Apart from the Buddha Vachana Trust publications over 70 titles on Buddhism written by Buddhist monks and lay scholars are also available at BVT Dhamma Book stall, Bangalore. These books are received from 'The Corporate Body of the Buddha Educational Foundation,' Taiwan, printed for free distribution. The books are distributed by Buddha Vachana
trust all over India.

Distribution of books
The gift of Dhamma excels all other gifts said the Buddha. Devotees of Maha Bodhi Society within India and abroad donate for printing free books for distribution. So far over 30 titles each 6000 copies have been printed here for free distribution. Apart from that Maha Bodhi Society has been receiving many Dhamma books from The Corporate Body of the Buddha Educational Foundation, Taiwan, printed for free distribution and from other Buddhist countries like the Buddhist Publication Society, Sri Lanka, etc as a gift of Dhamma. Buddha Vachana distributes these Dhamma books to different Buddhist centers, organizations, schools, colleges and institutions in India as a part of Mahabodhi Dhamma Dana Project. The books are authored by great monks and lay scholars who have profound knowledge of Dhamma in the teachings of the Buddha.
The knowledge of Dhamma is the most precious gift one can ever give to somebody as it leads to true happiness, insight and freedom from suffering. Mahabodhi Dhamma Dana is helping hundreds and thousand of people
all over the country both Buddhist and non-Buddhist to learn, practice and experience the Buddha's words of compassion in their daily life.
