Now, there are 166 children staying in Carla Students Home hailing from different parts of India. And there are two monks and six wardens to look after their well-being apart from 12 other staff. The main emphasis is to give character building Moral education. The students get up early in the morning, do Puja and meditation and in the evening again they have chanting and meditation. During vacation they have intensive Dhamma class and meditation courses.

They also learn many handicrafts such as drawing, painting, cooking, gardening, music etc. This gives great confidence in the children.
